Dr. Wood is a native of Spartanburg. He attended Wofford College receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics in 2009. He received his DMD degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2014, and graduated summa cum laude. Upon graduation he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honors Society.
He then went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University. His professional focuses include implant surgery, bone grafting, wisdom teeth removal, orthognathic surgery, facial trauma, and general anesthesia. Dr. Wood is board certified and a Diplomate in the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Southeastern Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and scuba diving. When not in the office you can probably find him somewhere near the water.
